Four days ago around four in the morning, I tapped away these thoughts while wanting to sleep more. I don't talk about myself much here, I think, so indulge me.

I...
want to find the balance between subjectivity and objectivity. When you're too subjective, you can't hear; when you're too objective, you can't feel.
don't break the rules. I follow then play along and from there, make my own.
am not an atheist but don't put too much faith on religion. Better to have faith in God, myself and my fellowman.
Am in love with words - the delectable picking of the right one to use in a phrase, a sentence, a paragraph (a stanza, i miss my poetry); the sweet melding of thought into substance; the mere greatness of expression.
stopped looking for answers to everything. It's easier to ask than to accept. But then sometimes you need to ask in order to understand then to accept. But not all the time.

Where is Neri?
She's out of the country...
Nah.
She's at home right now watching Jim Carrey in Yes Man after finishing Jumper, which she thinks lacks substance but has promising special effects. Later in the evening she'll be leaving for Manila since tomorrow's Monday, back to work week.
She's sorry for not blog-hopping and communicating online much. But don't think she's forgotten you.

I Forgot Valentine's
Oh I forgot it's Valentine's today. HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
It's also the birthday of my friend Lisa so happy birthday to her too even if she might not even read this. ^^ (But of course I already texted my greetings.)
I think having Valentine's Day for your birthday is cool and uncool at the same time. Cool because whenever people think of Valentine's, they'll remember it's your birthday. And it's cool to know that your birthday falls on a "holiday" and it's even associated with love, right? However, you can be cheated of your birthday because you'd just get the same gift for your birthday and Valentine's. So if your loved one is a cheapskate, sorry for you. Haha.
I don't have an actual Valentine's date today but I "dated" a male friend a while ago at Jollibee. He didn't give me chocolates. Worse, I treated him lunch.
Why was I having an unromantic lunch at Jollibee? We went to a nearby hospital because our friend's dad needed blood donors (though we weren't able to donate blood).
Talk about having a bloody Valentine.

Who are you spending your Valentine's with? Happy Hearts Day! :)

I Miss Blogging. I Miss You.
Due to my new work, I need to go back to Manila and therefore live in my former apartment, which means no internet for me in the weekdays. I can't sneak in some blogging activities in the office since it's illegal. (Though I did so in my former offices, but then they're not that strict. Don't think I'm a procrastinator. I am, but in an efficient way if there can be efficiency to be said about it. Haha.)
It's been two weeks in the new chapter of my life. Please bear with me.

Tidbits 1.0
- Starting bulleted tidbit posts in my blog to compensate for laconic moments. Can't use Twitter for this because my Twitter account is now used primarily for sharing info on the web.
- Finished Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None adventure game. The ending wasn't as exciting as when I started playing it. Some items were left hanging. Reading the book is better.
- Downloading the infamous Monkey Island (Lucas Arts). Missing DOS adventure games. My brain might be itching for puzzles instead of troublesome problems at work.
- Reading Martha Grimes' The Horse You Came In On. Nice literary appeal.
- Thinking of buying a red Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5 on sale to complement my Canon Powershot S5 IS.
- Christmas perks of being a teacher (or having a teacher in the home) who works in an exclusive school: lots of brownies and gifts. Got a fab Coach wallet by chance. Woohoo.
- Wondering why friends are affected over rumors on Marian Rivera's pregnancy.
- Still can't feel Christmas around the corner. Pinch me. Better yet, grant my wishes.
- Thinking if there will be a Tidbits 2.0.

The Trivialities of Being Human
I just like the title. Though this post isn't thought-provoking or philosophical really. Are you a cat person or a dog person? :D

I Wish I Could Draw
Well, I can draw all right. But only stick people and smileys (and with no artistic appeal in that too). Boohoo.
So I settle for gawking at great fan art or taking pictures instead. ^^ (Well, even photography isn't active in my blood lately. Boo some more. Boohoo.)
If only I can make fan art for Death Note (my recent addiction), that'd be cool. Anyway, I just wanted to share this cute comic strip regarding global warming. (Yeah, who could have thought Death Note can be connected with global warming, ei?) Kudos to SilentReaper. ^^

Happy Ner-Day to You!
Okay, I'm not waiting for you to greet me 'coz I know you don't know that it's my beloved birthday today. So I'm telling you! Hahaha. Greet me, will you? Thanks in advance! xoxo ^^
Anyways, I'm off to a "vacation" (read: rest time in the house, no worries) and just so you know I'm planning to change the layout here coz I need to put up a lot of things that won't suit this layout. Plus it's my birthday... time for change! Hehehe. See you later. Ciao! ;)

Do Branded Products Have More Quality?
I'm a Scorpio and they say that Scorpions are loyal. Well I have some brands that I'm loyal to, not only just because they're famous but because of the quality of products they have. However, I don't agree that only branded products are of quality (though most cases are) and it's still a matter of picking the best among the rest. Hehehe.
To reiterate, I'm very happy when I buy a cheaper product with durable quality and good aesthetics also. It can happen.
P.S. I'm listening again to "All I Want for Christmas is You." What's in your Christmas wishlist? ^^

There's Nothing Normal in the Blogosphere
I say there's nothing normal in the blogosphere because you have various opportunities and circumstances in the blogosphere that you won't have the chance to do in real life.
In your blog you not only shout out your feelings and ideas but you share your own self to the world. You can be a celebrity to most netizens like Bryanboy and PerezHilton. You can be somebody to your group of blogger friends even if in reality you may just be a normal person like me, who most people don't know exist. Haha, morbidness.
The blogosphere is a different world in the universe, perhaps on the astral plane. You get to have friends and comrades through virtual communities like I have in Litratong Pinoy or with others in Wordless Wednesday and the like. You can get paid with saying something positive on a product as a sponsored post or you can win on a contest just by announcing it in your blog.
And even when you think that you're just talking to yourself (like I do) in a journal, you're really unfolding yourself to a stranger who got interested with what you're trying to say. And that is a very fulfilling experience for me. I'm also touched whenever fellow bloggers give awards to me even if they're just tags or if someone's rooting for my blog in an online contest.
Here's my latest award from my kambal Enday, which is actually a personalized e-card so it makes it more touching even:

And I'm nominated for Filipino Blog of the Week (130) again. (Again because this blog was nominated a month ago, if I remember right, on my previous blogspot domain.) However I tired of campaigning too much for a contest plus I'd want to win because I didn't ask them to support me. So if you like my blog (and I'm not forcing you to), you can vote for me here. I don't know the criteria for the nominations but I'm still touched that someone recognizes me here.
Still I'm just a normal gal in the real world. Nothing's changed in my real life, but in the blogosphere I'm more able to express myself and I got to know some sweet individuals. Has blogging changed your life?
Happy weekend, everybody. ^^

Blog for All Reasons
The problem with having a lot of blogs is doubling the effort for writing bloggeries for such. Aside from this blog, I have a photo blog, a recent "humor" blog, a long-time poetry blog (which I don't get to update now because I lost my muse), a tech blog (dump actually of tech errors and solutions) among many more others. Hahaha. Yeah, the list can go on and on. Oh and I almost forgot a partnership blog for Pampanga. (We're actually asking if you can write some bloggeries on that blog. Contact me at admin@iamneri.com if you want to. Thanks in advance! ^^)
Ok, I'm not just addicted to blogging. I got a lot of ideas going and when I do have an idea, I want it to be separated from the others because I don't want to mix up my seriousness and eccentricities in one blog. Hehehe. Hope you don't get confused though. ^^

Belated Happy Blogday to Me
I thought this blog's birthday was this month so I was supposed to write on its birthday here. But checking on my first post, this blog's birthday is in fact on the 16th of August!!! I missed its birthday. Boohoo. (FYI, Aug 16 is also my friend Nhut's birthday. :P)So I'll blog about my own anniversary in blogging instead. It was September 22, 2005 when I first entered the blogosphere through Friendster. (And I'm surprised in visiting my first blog because I didn't know that WordPress hosted Friendster blogs now. I'm so outdated. Hehehe. Well, good for them.)
As what happened last year, I didn't know that I was turning 3 years in blogging.
I celebrated my second year of blogging last September 22 without me knowing it transpired already. My, my. I thought I'd be able to post on the same day that I first spoke up in the blogosphere. I came a little late.
I first blogged at Friendster when I had no knowledge whatsoever of blogging.
So belated happy blogday to me! ^^
Wishing myself more readers, blog posts and blogs to come for the next year. Thanks for being a part of my 3rd year! Lemme see if I can cook something as a token of my appreciation to my loyal readers. (How many they may be.) I think I got my domain on my first day for my 4th year. Yay, what a start! ^^
Cheers! :)

Are You Getting Near Your Goals?
I don't know if I am, but I think I'm inching my way. Just don't know if towards it or away from it. Teehee.
I'm so practicing procrastination these days. (Well, isn't it my whole life?) Still I'm very blessed.
Remind that to yourself always: YOU ARE VERY BLESSED. Good night! Don't be too hard on yourself. ^^

Knowing Your Real Self
Among all the conversations I answered in dNeero, this one is really my element. ^^
I really like psychology and analyzing different personalities so I find this self-introspection thing really enjoyable. :)

Dating 101
Now that I'm doing the tag, I think this is the only tag I'm actually having a hard time to answer... if I'll answer seriously or just play on it like what KC did. Hehe. I'm a sentimentalist but I don't bare this part of myself to just anyone. Perhaps just this time. Haha. I'm not thanking KC and Tey for this tag. ;)
1. When was your first kiss and where?
The day before I had a boyfriend. In Pampanga. Figure it out. Hahaha.
2. When was your first real relationship and how long did it last?
In college. 2 years.
3. What age were you allowed to date?
I think I was never allowed to date per se. Hahaha. Not until now that my mom is practically urging me to get a guy... fast. Hahaha. (I'm the eldest kasi and she wants to have a grandchild already.)
4. What's the craziest thing you did (for love) when you were a teenager?
I don't do crazy stuff. My thoughts though are crazy. If I'm a wacko out of love, I'm an obsessed wacko in love.
5. How long is your longest relationship and what's the secret?
2 years. You see, it was my first and last relationship so far. Hehehe. Is there a secret? Perhaps I never knew. Haha.
6. How long did you date before you decided to settle down?
Hmm... next question please? :D
7. How long did you know he was the ONE?
The hell I don't know who's the ONE. So if you're the ONE, tell me so I'd know. Hehe. But if I'm the ONE and you're the ONE, how could there be two ONEs? XD
8. Now, at what age will you allow your kid(s) to date?
I think I won't let them while they're studying as much as possible. Hahaha. Suffer! XD Well, let's see if they're mature first. ;)
9. When it comes to your kids dating, will you be a cool parent or a strict parent?
Despite the suffering I endured with having strict parents (hehe), I think I'll be strict also. Though I've always told myself to be cool. I want me and my kids to be best friends. :)
10. What piece of advice can you give to your child when they start dating?
Don't date! Hahaha.
Whew! That was over. I love this quote though I don't know who to credit for because it's getting rampant... My lovelife is like Coke... it's zero. Nyahaha. ^_0
I'm tagging F&F because I'm curious with their lovelife plus I'm a fan of their loveteam. ^^ I know they won't suffer answering this unlike me. :D

Shoe Size
This is actually a tag post (again). I'm so practicing procrastination these days. XD
Anyway, you can read (and grab, if you want) the tag below. I really have a difficult time thinking of people who'd actually do tags, without tagging the same people over and over again.
To answer the tag, my shoe size is 7 1/2 but since half sizes were phased out (I guess), I almost always get an 8. What's the problem with half sizes? :(
I have the biggest feet in the family. Only a half notch that is. Mama and Let are both size 7. They benefit when I buy sandals/shoes (though mostly sandals because I'm not a shoe person really).

This is my latest shoe buy, just bought this Russ pair this month because of the rainy season. I was tempted to buy original Crocs but as I've said in my previous post, I don't buy such expensive stuff. With more than Php 1,000 I'd rather buy Altec Lansing speakers than plastic shoes. Nevertheless, I didn't buy the imitation Crocs because I don't think they're durable enough. (And you think it's about piracy or something. Hehe.)
Thanks to Kwagoo for this. :)

How Do You Spend Your Money?
I don't spend much money on usual stuff but I'm not a very thrifty person either. (My only vice is spending on good food. Good is not necessarily healthy though. Hehe. ^^)
I won't dish out a single centavo if I can get something for free, like blogging and software (i.e. freeware, open-source). With regards to clothes and other accessories, I try to buy things when these are on sale or discounted. Imagine, I bought a blouse in Baclaran for only Php50 ($1 more or less) and it doesn't even look like it's cheap; though of course it's not a signatured item but it's not also an imitation.
I don't care much for signatured or imported stuff unless it's an appliance or a gadget. How about you? :)

Ten NER Basics
Ok, KC, here's my end of the tag. Thanks for waiting. Haha. ;)
The tag is about 10 random things about me. But I'll try to encapsulate my essence with my interests.
1. Movies. I love watching and reviewing movies. One of my all-time fave romance movies is 'When Harry Met Sally.' Good thing I just found a video of its theme song 'It Had to Be You' by Harry Connick, Jr. though it's an original Frank Sinatra song.
2. Books. My long-time pastime since highschool is reading pocketbooks. I'm currently reading 'An Interview with the Vampire' by Anne Rice but I enjoyed 'The Vampire Lestat' more. I was able to read the sequel first rather than the start of The Vampire Chronicles. Hehe.
3. Videoke. I love singing at videokes. It's a pity my former officemates and I don't have the opportunity now to continue our acoustic band. I was one of the vocalists. :D
4. IT. I am currently a PHP programmer at Auction.ph. (Yes, that's my new company. :D) But I was a .NET developer before and used mostly Microsoft products in my previous job at Makati. You see, these programming languages are worlds apart in software development. Hehe.
5. Food. I'm a Capampangan and Capampangans are known for their cooking prowess. Well... I don't cook. Haha. But I definitely have the Capampangan taste. ;)
6. Photography. I wanted to have a camera when I was in 4th year high school so I can take pictures of clouds. I love gazing at clouds. *sigh*
7. Poetry. Before I learned the magic of blogging, my outlet was poetry. It started out when I was appointed to join a poetry-making contest in fifth grade then I tried to write personal poems in high school.
8. Blogging. I started blogging perhaps three years ago in Friendster when I was doing overtime work at Globe. After a few shifts in blogging platforms, I settled here. Never Ending Resolve was just a play on words to form my nickname, Ner. :D
9. Love. I'm a hopeless romantic. I believe in soulmates though I'm not that idealistic anymore, of course. Through time, I've learned that love isn't just magic. You make it work. You choose to fall out of love. (A friend just told me her sad love story. She said I blog it. Should I blog love stories here? I got a lot up my sleeve. Hehe.)
10. God. I believe there's only one God, though we have many names for Him. I respect all kinds of religion because I believe that there's no formula for worship. Go with what suits you in order to praise Him best. Religion shouldn't be a barrier for anyone of us. A truly godly person goes beyond religion. ;)
If you believe what I just said, I urge you to grab this tag. ^^

3. How late did you stay up last night and why?
Past 12:30AM because of catching up in the blogosphere. I also chatted with Prick and laughed out loud with my soon-to-be life-sized Snoopy stuff toy. Haha.
4. Who were you with last Friday night?
Myself. I went for groceries instead of a night-out hehe.
