Sadly, I'm Out...

TrueHow unfortunate that after having my gorgeous layout (which I still have to organize; my-green-bloglog isn't cooperating >_<), I can't be with you for a while. *sob*

Sorry to you all because I won't be able to blog here and in Galleria Neri for the next few days. (Boohoo!) I also can't answer comments and hop back to you then. (Time check: 1:23 am.) I have to sleep now because today's a great day for me to accomplish work requirements.

Yes, you read that right --- work!!! My bumhood days are totally over now. *rivers of tears*

Everything just happened so fast that I still can't believe that I'll be working in my new company on Friday! As in this Friday!!! (Notice my frequent use of exclamations in this post.)

I still have to get clearances and medical exams tomorrow so I can submit them on Thursday for my job orientation as well. I'm so not ready. Haha. You see, I just went for an initial interview yesterday then bam!.. final interview and job offer afterwards. What a day. Indeed, what a day. Perhaps God misplaced a miracle and it plopped on my lap. Hehe. Anyway, thanks to God for the surprise. :)

Hopefully, I'd get to you by Saturday. (And a little on Thursday for LP; I don't want to miss that for sure.) ^^' *hugs hugs hugs*

I Applied for a Job to Bo Sanchez!!!

I can't believe what I just did a few minutes ago. I really applied for a job to Bo Sanchez! (And he might read this in the future if ever he visits this from my email. *cringe*) But I really did!

Well not directly 'coz I just used the contact form in Bo's site. I didn't know where (or which, because there's a handful of emails) to send my resume so I just contacted him through his site. Hehe. I must be desperate. Or out of my mind. I just jumped to the opportunity. Or the idea, in this case.

You see, I've always wondered what if I can be part of Kerygma (the magazine). I've always dreamt of a writing job. And now I want to fulfill that dream. I've always pushed that dream away though my heart longed for it. And even if my mind was used to cowering at opportunities that have to be seized, I now make my jump.

I told myself that I have to leave my comfort zone (software development) to chase my dream. I did when life permitted me. I resigned.

But in order to chase something, you have to run. In order to run, you have to let go of your fears and move forward.

I'm starting my pace. :)

P.S. It doesn't matter if I won't be accepted. Well, on second thought, of course it matters. (How can rejection be a happy moment, ei?) But that doesn't mean I'll quit. I have to move forward. ;)

I Don't Have a Job But I'm Busy

Taking blogging seriously ain't easy. (But then when you take something seriously, where's the easy part there, ei?)

You have to promote your blog via blog-hopping then link exchanges, submitting your blog to various registration sites, joining forums and blog groups and, of course, blog. And if you really want to stand out, you just don't blog. You have to blog with the best way you can. Still if you want to make an income, it should be SEO-optimized or sponsored.

I've been blogging for less than three years now. First in Friendster then I got into Blogger, Tabulas, and WordPress. Now I'm settled with Blogger until WordPress can accommodate AdSense without additional costs. Haha. (Or I'm just too dumb to make it work there with a free account. I'm stingy; I don't want to get a domain. I'm also lazy, btw. Haha.)

I started out with blogging because I just wanted to practice my English because eversince I got out of school, I hardly talk or write in English. I had to sharpen my mind before it can get any duller. Of course, I only wanted to vent out my thoughts as well, given that I am a frustrated writer.

But now I want to take my blogging to the next level. (If there are levels indeed.) I've been procrastinating for the past years and just doing mediocre posts just so I could post. God help me. XD

Bum Truth

In a few days, I will be graduating from bumhood. Yes, I might be able to work again but not as a software developer anymore. I think I'm resigning from my IT career. :'(

It's a sad and frightening yet happy and thrilling adventure for me. Sad because I'm leaving something I've been good at (I want to think so). Frightening because I don't know what I'm going to do exactly. Thrilling because of the thought of doing something new. Happy because... well, I'm happy. I've always wanted to do this. To explore what I can do further with my untapped talents. I'm gonna tap them now. Tap tap tap. :D

It's exactly a month since I resigned from ASC. I did resign. (FYI to those who think I just went on an indefinite leave.) Technically speaking, I will be back. But, as I said, not as a dev anymore. And not as a regular employee as you may think.

Some buddies of mine who experienced bumhood said that they realized some truths in life or they changed some aspect of their lives. But I can't say the same thing for me. I think I'm still me; nothing's changed with my philosophy or appearance. I don't know why. Funny (and at the same time worrisome for me) that it's already a month and still I don't feel any urge to work. Funnier (and more worrisome) still that I think I won't feel any urge to work at all even if it spans for a year or more. Perhaps because I can breathe with just blogging.

And so I have to work. Not because I feel the urge to work. (I can still survive for a few weeks and then come poverty line. Hehe.) But because I know I won't feel it. ;)

Perhaps that's my bum truth after all. :D

Lost Cat

Cat Smoker

My cat Ponky was out of the room for the past few weeks I guess. He came back disoriented. He lost his territorial blankets. Those were moved to a different part of the room.

You see, we moved things in the room so I can accommodate my little niche here. The only disadvantage of having my nook is that I might get lost in whatever I'm doing inside this room. It's like another world when I come out of the door... the living room, the dining room, the TV... they're all out of place.

Bum Connected!

Need I say more? Wahaha XD

Status: Achieving Connectivity

I resigned from work. I was an official bum last Friday. Woohoo! However, I don't know till when I can keep this bumhood. Let's see.

To all those who entered (and crashed) into my Manila life, thanks a lot. I don't want to say goodbye, just see you next time. ;) (But I'm not coming back for work in Manila, okei?)

I don't know now what "selected" means. I just inquired in a PLDT office near our house and they told me that we can't get a line because they only serve a selected few. I don't live on a mountain. This is Angeles City we're talking about. I'm in the center of it and we can't get a line?!! That sucks!

So I leave you now with me ranting hehe... I hope I can apply for a DSL within the week. I have to.
